Joe Pavelka has a unique background that spans more than thirty years in the field of tourism, recreation and parks. What makes him unique is his blend of industry and academic experience coupled with the diversity of projects and environments he’s worked in. The unifying theme in all his work is his understanding of the human condition and social change and its interplay with leisure, travel and parks that is, the discretionary precincts of life.

Began consulting in 1989 and has worked with over 200 clients within a wide variety of public, not-for-profit and private sector clients in the tourism, recreation and parks spaces
Joe is on the Working Group for the Banff Net Zero 2035 Initiative; the aim is to make Banff a carbon neutral tourism destination while improving the visitor experience.
